Job description

Wholesale distribution of a global brand of consumer product in B2B channels.
Product marketing targeted at end consumers to enhance overall sales volumes

Desired Skills and Experience

Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the distribution of Goods and Commercial Strategies involved.
Minimum 3 years working experience in a key leadership role for a large organization.
Demonstrated experience and capability as a leader who can influence the direction of brand impact by identifying and accessing the most effective channels for retail and commercial.

Operations Coordinator needed at International Rescue Committee ( IRC )

Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a prominent international organization working in relief, rehabilitation, protection, post-conflict development, resettlement services and advocacy for those uprooted or affected by violent conflict and oppression. 

IRC has been present in Nigeria since 2012 when the organization responded to flooding in Kogi state.  In early 2014, IRC opened a field office in Mubi town of Adamawa state in NE Nigeria.  IRC has ECHO, OFDA, and Gates funds to respond to health, nutrition, GBV, and WASH activities.  In September 2014, IRC received additional funds to carry out emergency food distributions, shelter support, and NFI distributions to newly displaced IDPs.    IRC also received funds to carry out a child protection rapid assessment and program start up activities.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all operational support departments (Logistics, Administration, HR, and Security) for IRC in Nigeria.  The Operations Coordinator’s primary duties are to assure effective and efficient support services to IRC’s programs and ensure that IRC and other applicable procedures and regulations are respected.

The position will be based in Yola, the state capital of Adamawa, but may require some travel. S/He will work closely with the Field Coordinator and various operations support staff as well as the CD and, when required, the RSSA.   The Operations Coordinator works closely with other senior management in Yola and Abuja ensure effective communication and coordination.  The Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Field Coordinator.
